You cut the wedding cake with the sabre and your guests bring a toast to the newly-weds with a glass of South African sparkling wine (méthode champenoise). For the toast, you drink from special wedding glasses, just like Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus in 1966 and Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima in 2002. In consultation with the patissier, you determine the looks and flavour of the cake. We will give you a few examples:
Chipolata
A traditional recipe with Swiss cream, pieces of macaroons, pieces of pineapple and peach. The cake is tempered with a soft Bali rum liqueur.
Strawberry/raspberry bavarois
A delicious, light filling with a pure and fresh fruit flavour. The cake is tempered with a spicy cointreau liqueur.
Chocolate
A combination of meringue, dark chocolate and whipped cream. The cake is tempered with a soft almond liqueur.
