Jurgen Luppes, Restaurant and Sommelier
In 1988 Jurgen started as employee number 1 at Kasteel Engelenburg after he finished his hotelschool training.
Jurgen is is viticulturist and liquorist of the wine academy and started with our South African wine collection. In 2010 Jurgen was the Dutch national champion Wines of South Africa in the World Cup sommeliers.
Under his guidance Kasteel Engelenburg developped the famous single malt whisky cabinet in our lounge and received The Scotch Single Malt Whisky Award in 2000.
Jurgen has in 2016 been graduated to beer sommelier level 3 in Austria. Has loves to share his passion for craft beer pairing woth food.
